I just finished the second sleeve less than five minutes ago!
I’ve only been working on it since March.
I’ve figured out when I get to knit. Now, when do I vacuum? I can’t do it while she’s asleep because she’s sleeping. I can’t do it while she’s awake because it wastes Ellie time. I think I have to go old school and get out the broom.
Speaking of sleeping, I stopped to check on her on the way to the computer.
I love this baby.

She’s such a sweet little baby. And, frankly, you should vacuum when she’s sleeping - it’ll keep her from being a light sleeper.

Seriously, put her in a sling and vacuum away, whether she’s asleep or awake. The vacuum is soothing to babes together with your motion. And life and housework goes on (dang it!) and it can all be Ellie time! It’s all good.
The knitting looks great. But of course, Ellie is the greatest, I’m sure you wouldn’t argue!

vacuum either with her in a sling or when she is sleeping, my mother always vacuumed when we were asleep because she swore it made us heavy sleepers

She is so precious! Sweeping became my ally with my first baby. And really, who cares about dust bunnies when they have a sweet baby to stare at instead?

She is so beautiful!!!! I’m afraid my house would be a wreck, no knitting, no food, etc……all I would be able to do is sit and look at her!!

Oh, how I envy you. I know, I had my time when mine were that tiny; and truthfully, I don’t have the energy for it again at my age, but oh, how I do want to pick her up and snuggle her sweet little self against my neck when I see her picture.

She is just BEAUTIFUL! I agree with everyone that said vacuum away! None of my kids are light sleepers and I am sure it’s because I never made the house super quiet at nap time!

Babies are so adorable when they are sleeping!
Vacuum tip, I used to do it while holding the baby in a baby Bjorn on my chest. Works great.

Yes, vacuum away. I never did with the first and she was a terrible sleeper for a long time. Oh, and I love that baby too! She’s just so beautiful.

Yes, what everyone has already said. Vacuum whenever you get the urge to. Play the radio in the next room. The TV. She’ll get use to the noise so you don’t have to tip toe around. Of course, knitting is quiet and she may already be acclimated to the quiet click of knitting needles and that will be the only activity you can ever again do while she sleeps. Oh heavens … sweep or vacuum when she’s up. Knit or nap when she is. Time to worry about housework another day.

They are amazing at that age. Any age really, but then, asleep and sweet is the best. Makes the heart pinch just a little.

Yah - start vacuuming now when she’s a awake but hanging w/ Daddy - and then start doing it while she’s asleep - in bits and pieces. As she gets older & sleep becomes more difficult to achieve (hard to believe, isn’t it? but this time it’ll be due to stubbornness on her part & not just sheer baby-ness) you’ll need to make noise while she’s asleep and so you want to start practicing now with her.
when I first brought the Munch to daycare, a sneeze woke him up - about 2 months into it I went to pick him up & there he was, totally zonked out on his nap mat, and the daycare provider’s husband was drilling a new lock on the front door in the next room over w/ a power drill. NOISY!!!!! Munch didn’t even *twitch*. It was heaven. Now I know that the door can accidentally slam closed due to the wind, the dog can bark, the doorbell can ring, the DVD can suddenly get loud, etc - and he can sleep through all of it!
