After two Christmases of Good Intentions, Ellie’s Smitten garland is finally on her mantle.
I got the studio light out for this one – it’s DARK on the back of the house.
It’s hung on plain stocking holders (WalMart really came through for me this year) and is stuffed with 24 tiny wooden ornaments that I’ve had since she was on the inside (I’ve been planning this for a while). This morning, Ellie pulled out the first ornament and hung it on her tiny tree. Then she took it off and repositioned it half a dozen times.

I so love the whole look and tradition…great stuff! So-o-o-o-o……what was the ornament?…can we ask?….can we find out tomorrow too?….can we count down with Ellie? No kid in me..oh,no..not at all.

Our advent calendar has ornaments too. My mom made it. I’m planning to share about it soon. I was thinking of you today when I dropped the kiddos off at daycare. Julie, our provider, has bubble lights on her tree and whenever I see them I think of the real ones that you guys used to have on your tree when we were little. Memories from when we were little pop in and out like that from time to time. 🙂
