Last weekend, I attended Camping Skills Certification class. I am now allowed to take Girl Scouts camping. We’re going to start with a hike and some knot tying. Because baby steps.

My main takeaway from the weekend was some really excellent camp cooking ideas. Like omelets cooked in a ziplock and cake in a Dutch oven. I’ve never seen a meal made with so much aluminum foil in all my life – Girl Scouts do not like to do dishes.

My guys loved camping! I used to find the best recipes for them to do while camping. Aliminium foil is a cooks best friend. Washing dishes while camping is the pits .
