A Clue! A Clue!

Here’s a hint about the freebie pattern I’m working on. If it doesn’t rain (so I can take pictures) I think it will be ready tomorrow.

Here is a nest for a bird, (“guck” all birds are ducks)
Here is a hive for a bee, (“hive bee”)
here is a hole for a rabbit, (“hole hop”)
And here is a house for me! (“me home”)

Pehyay Pehyay Pehyay

How about something more cheerful above the fold?

Itty Bitty Action Shots. The Rooster is surprising the chicken. “BOO!”

Ellie is a baby of few words. She’s said Important Words (“mama” “cheese” “algahyahyah”*) for a very long while, and employes a wealth of gestures and sounds to get her point across. Each new English word added to her vocabulary is a surprise and a treat. She added “play” (pronounced “pehyay”) a few weeks ago. Now the chorus of my day goes something like this:

“play mama play mama mama play play mama play”

Heh.

Custom Order

Ellie’s first sentence: Mama knit pink meow?

We picked out yarn right away.

pink and white yarn

She wants stripes.

We’ll do a little bit every day. She can pick what part comes next.

I wonder what color eyes a pink tabby cat has? I guess I’ll check with my customer.

of blessings.

The Easter Bunny hides eggs in our yard, but he refuses to come inside (I’m looking at you, William Henry). We go to Great Gran’s to get Ellie’s basket. I’m telling you this lest you think that the beautiful room in the background belongs to me.

The Face of Two

When you are two, you (apparently) don’t need to hold hands when walking on the sidewalk.

Also pictured: Meeow (freshly made Build-a-Bear Birthday Kitty)

Happy Birthday, Baby Dear. You’re making too much noise for me to write a more lengthy post.

PS Meeow is now naked and Big Kitty is wearing her Hello Kitty underwear. Ellie was very specific about the two Es in Meeow’s name.

Banner Day

The good sunlight was gone by the time we made it upstairs, but you get what you get and I used what I got to make the new banner.

You’re lucky, I could have gone with this:

2010 Yarn Miracle Banner Take 1

Or this:

Consider it a place holder – we’ll try again on a sunnier (and more cooperative) day.
