“You know, when I first heard about The Amazing Lace, I was all like, ‘Hey that sounds like a lot of fun and I’ll get to see the world.’ And then I met my teammates. They’re great – really great. I love them to death. . . Except that there are just so many of them. Know what I mean? And I can’t tell them apart. I guess I’ll have plenty of time to get to know them all better, huh?” [chuckling and rolling her eyes]
“The pattern? Oh yeah, I had to work that out for myself. My teammates were no help at all. They just sat around and let me do all the work. I’m all, ‘Hey, what do y’all think of this?’ but it’s like they don’t want to be involved. We just don’t have the kind of communication that I really think we need. I hope this doesn’t become a problem later on – everyone needs to pull their own weight. We’ve got to make 146 squares together or something insane like that. I just want to give it my best effort and have a good time, you know? I hope those cones of yarn don’t get in the way.”

Cute!! Great team photo.
Hang tough, Em! I’m thinking they (the team) will come into line.
Yeah. So, ummm. Good luck.
Oh my. I just can’t think of anything else in looking at those cones. My oh my.
YOu are too cute. This was an adorable post. If those cones give you too much trouble put them all in a bag and roll them down the driveway a bit. That should make them dizzy enough to mind anything you say!
Great photo, Emily! It’s going to be one beautiful counterpain in the end!
Good luck!! I’ve been thinking about that “the pattern should be available in a few days” statement I was making quite a while back. Funny how those things don’t happen like you think they will. heh We’ll surprise everybody and have it available some time!
LOL!! I can’t imagine having that many cones staring back at me!
You’re so creative! I love the team pic.
Hey there, did a Google on Alabama knitters and you came up. Glad I found ya.
I’m rooting for you! It seems as though this will be the catalyst for a lifetime of happiness or a separation, learing that you really are not compatible.
I’m so bummed, I forgot to sign up, and I have a couple of good lace projects to start. Bummer.
You are completely nuts.
Which is good, because now I feel normal.
Wow, that is a LOT of yarn!!! Good luck with keeping it in line! 😉
How stinkin cute are you in this *great* picture. Wait til your team mates find out what a force of nature you are. There are no words.
Cute post!!! And I’m sure you’ll be able to whip those cones into shape.
Watch out for the first cone on the top right! She looks like a troublemaker!
WOW. I can’t wait to see how this comes out!
