My Wee Tiny Arrival

It’s here!

in bamboo

From Sorcha!

My Wee Tiny Sock arrived with a great deal of fanfare on Friday. Since I got to pick who was making my sock, I picked someone without a blog so that I could be surprised. And I am – I have never used any of the bamboo yarns and really find it hard to believe that a plant that is used to make furniture can also make yarn! Thanks again, Sorcha, you’ve made my day and the sock is cute enough to eat.

Which I guess I could do…since it is made from bamboo…

My Mom was visiting this weekend so I am a little behind on my email, but for all you Wee Tiny Sock Swappers out there:

Please email me if you haven’t received your Wee Tiny Sock. I can check on the sock status for you (and see if your Wee Tiny is Making an Overseas Journey). I want to make sure that everyone ends up with a sock, because these are just about the cutest things I’ve ever seen. Next year, I pledge to keep better records when people start to tell me that socks are arriving!

You heard me right: next year. I have decided to make the Wee Tiny Sock Swap an Annual Event! So mark your calendars for March 2008 (and somebody remind me in February).

such a sweet teensy thing –
and is that a snapshot of the famous William Henry there too?
Congrats on a successful swap, Em. I see them popping up everywhere!

Yeah, another Wee Tiny Swap! I can’t wait. 🙂 If somebody needs a sock, I’d be happy to knit some more.

I am glad that you got your sock. I got my 2 socks today from Donna. They are wonderful. I will try to get a picture on my blog in the next days couple of days.

I am glad you are doing another swap. I was hoping that you would do another one in the late fall as more of a Christmas ornament mini sock.

I will definitely be in on your next one. A little package should be headed out to you this week. I had an unexpected overnight hospital stay which has thrown my crafting schedule off a bit.

I’m all in for next year’s swap! Hey – perhaps this fall we could make a wee tiny mitten swap! Squee – its too much!!

Thanks for organizing this swap – I love the wee sock I got in the mail and the friends/blogs I’m meeting!

My wee Canadian sock arrived this weekend. I’ve posted several pictures on my blog since Ella sent an embroidered card and stitch markers too.

It has been such fun seeing those little socks pop up here and there in blogland, Em. What a great idea, and I hope to join you all for the next big event!

I will be putting my wee sock to use shortly. I am making it into a pin to wear when I go to the local knit meetings. Looking forward to next years swap. I’m going to practice mini cables all year!

Your widdle sock is wuvwy. ;-Þ

I also received my Wee Tiny Sock yesterday. It traveled from Carola in Iceland ( http://www.sheepandnocity.blogspot.com ) to Texas. I love knowing my wee sock is a world traveler, even if I’m not.

Carola included some really cool postcards from Iceland, which seems a world away from me. Her personal notes on the card made the swap seem so much more…well personal! 😀

My little sock is also making it’s way out of my country. Should my recipient inquire about it, please assure her it’s flying it’s way there.

Thanks again for organizing this swap. It was such fun. I can hardly wait for next year. Hopefully, I will no longer be blogless by then!

Excellent! Can’t wait until next March. These were really fun. But brace yourself- I’ll bet you’ll have a lot more swappers next time!

Thanks for your kind comment on Celtic Dreams!
Love the tiny sock swap. I’ll be keeping touch and would love to participate next year!

Cute sock! I got mine (three of them) over the weekend. I have thanked my pal but haven’t posted about them yet. Soon!

I’m going to go ahead and encourage you not to eat your Wee Tiny Sock (though if you do, be sure to blog about it!).

Ooh, next year, eh? If I plan ahead perhaps I can participate next time. (I love that my life is so hectic that I have to plan a year a head to make a two-hour Wee Tiny Sock. Geesh.)
