Match Made in Alabama

OK.

OK. I’ve sent out all the Wee Tiny Matches for the Wee Tiny Swap. I am a Wee Tiny Bit Tired after all of that!

Please check your email for your match and email me right away if one of the following things is wrong:

  • You didn’t get an email from me and think you should have.
  • You got an email from me and shouldn’t have.
  • You are missing some important piece of information (like a mailing address).
  • I’ve got you shipping internationally and you didn’t say it was OK.
  • I managed not to include the instructions in your email.
  • Something seems amiss or you’ve got a question.

Now I will cross my fingers and hope for the best!

PS There is now a Flickr Group for the Wee Tiny Socks!

PPS Dotty has written a Toe-Up Version of the Wee Tiny Sock! Thanks a bunch!

PPS My Bloomin Feet yarn is finally here! Now to pick a pattern…

Wee Tiny Closed

Signups for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap are officially closed!

There are 75 swappers as of this moment (counting me and Great Gran who is working on her sock as I type this).

Look for your Wee Tiny Secret Pal’s name and address in your email on Sunday (not too early, give me all day please – 75 is a LOT of emails to send).

Wee Tiny Update

There are now 60 people signed up for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap! Whoever is in my email in-box when I get up tomorrow will get to participate, but after that I have to close sign-ups or I will never get everyone matched up and all those emails sent!

Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up for the silliness!

I hope all the letter carriers think this is as funny as I do.

The End of the Blue Vest

Sign-ups are ongoing for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap! At last count there were already 37 folks signed up to make and mail a single Wee Tiny Sock. Some Wee Tiny Socks (like Sarah’s) have already been completed! I cannot begin to tell you how much this amuses me. It’s almost as amusing as my latest Wee Tiny Sock discovery:

Abigail and the wee tiny sock

If you fill them with catnip they become cat toys!

We finally got around to photographing the finished blue vest.

That is Great Gran’s Firecracker bush in the background.

neck close up

Great Gran was also supposed to be in the background but she didn’t trust us to not get her in the picture and hid.

It’s bigger than I had imagined (my own fault – it is exactly the size I picked to make) but I like it a lot. It’s cute, casual, looks good with my brown skirt and I am happy with it. I don’t usually do the headless picture thing, but this this is the best picture of the front of the sweater and my head isn’t in it!

There’s no Bloomin’ Feet yarn in the mailbox today. I guess I’ll go make another CounterPain Square.

Book Drive

Heather is helping to raise money for a books! She is offering sock yarn to anyone who makes a donation over $20, which is simply marvelous! There is plenty of information about where the money is going on her blog – the original post is here.
