I have a knit pattern with the raised leaf that is similar to your counterpane. I don’t think it’s the same though ’cause I don’t see any mention of bobbles in the directions.
my grandmother, the one who taught me to knit, found a very similar pattern in a ladies magazine many years ago. she fell in love with it and decided i’d be the perfect one to make it for her. so she bought wool. lots of wool! in 70’s colors browns, oranges, golds. i was just finishing junior high and had a new boyfriend (the one that is now my husband!) but i gave it my best shot. have to tell you though, it got boring pretty quickly. sure it was cool finishing the 4th to see the pattern it made when you stitched them together. but they were about 5 inches square and the number i was going to need to finish ( i guess about 100 or so) seemed daunting. needless to say it never got finished. wish i knew where all of those squares are now. grandma is gone, but it would be nice to find the time to finish it. so glad to see yours is making better progress than mine did. maybe if i had thought to have cookies after every 7th (or in my case every 2nd!!)
Now THAT’S an incentive!
Mmm…are those oatmeal?
Go seven! You earned those cookies!
Those look yummy. What an incentive.
But did you get eggrolls with number six?
Thanks for the comment on the Scrubbing Bubble. I thought about sending it on but only after I had already sent the box. >.
yummm…thanks for the comment…but you’ll be the cool one when you’re sitting pretty with that gorgeous Epic Counterpain on your lap this winter.
Giggles! Nothing like a cookie says “well done.”
