Ted

This is Ted.

Hi, Ted!

We found him where we find most of our foster dogs: on his way down the dirt road to the Farm. The end of that road is a prime “drop off” spot for unwanted pets. This makes me want to write a post about how much people suck. A post about why we lend the support we are able to the Humane Society (local and national) over other charitable organizations. But that post requires more swear words than I officially admit to knowing and more rage than I have time. Besides, you can’t have a rant like that next to pictures of a dog as cute as Ted.

Michael is included for scale.

We are still officially in Locate The Owner mode, but no one is looking. I’ll let you know when we make the jump to Finding a Forever Home. In the mean time: he’s clean, vaccinated, well exercised, full of treats and has had lots of hugs and kisses.

Ted is doing quite well, thank you.

Aw, Ted is too cute to be done that way! Sure hope you find him a good home. We have a farm so I know the drill…
Mr or Ms Irresponsible sees land and nobody lookin’ so they do a drive-by-kick-pet-out-door routine. UGH.

Ted is sooooooooooooooooooooo stinkin’ cute! Lemme tell ya if I lived closer and you didn’t find owners I’d be taking him off your hands in a hot minute.

Gotta love shelter animals though. Our dog (Birdy – German Shepard mix) was adopted from a shelter and no clue why she was there other than she is a little hyper. But out of the dogs that were child friendly (her being listed as not so much due to hyperness) we took her and never had any problems. You have to love animals that will never snap at kids when they crawl over them. She just knocked them down with love. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ooh, I just love Ted! ๐Ÿ™‚ I think Emily and Ted might be destined for lifelong friendship!? I mean, they are so adorable together…are you sure Ted shouldn’t become an official part of the Dish Rag Home Team????

Of course I meant Ellie and Ted are so cute but honestly I suspect Emily and Ted are equally adorable together! ๐Ÿ™‚

Oh, he is adorable. I’d take him in a second if I were within driving distance. Maybe he’ll become a part of your family. You DO need a dog…don’t you??

If I did not have 2 rescue dogs and live toooo darn far away Ted would be sleeping with my dogs on the bed at night.

It breaks my heart that Ted was abandoned. I also give to animal charities. Sometimes I hate people.

The picture of Ellie and Ted is darling.

too cute — let me know if you can’t find a home for him. my daughter is going to school in mobile. I could pick him up on the way home from a visit. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ted is adorable. I think we all want Ted to live with you so we can keep seeing cute pics of him with Ellie. It is hard to imagine anyone just dumping an adorable little dog like that. It would be so easy to give him to someone if they couldn’t/wouldn’t keep him. Sigh.

oh my.. I recall the dogs from a couple of years ago… and all that you went through then.
Yet Ted appears to be a “keeper’ – (at least Ellie has decided that) I bet that you won’t be quickly letting this one go.
I am on board with all the others that I would melt at Ted’s feet in a heartbeat. Does the vet think he will get big??? Because he is positively smashing as he is. (and in this case, its a good thing that I live 3500 miles away, or Ted would most likely be mine)

And the end of that drive? I’d say mount a fake video cam on a post and make a big sign that says: Beware all animal dumpers! You are being filmed and this will be taken to the authorities” (people hate it when they are on camera, and most likely those stupid enough to dump puppies off will be too dense to realize that the camera isn’t attached to anything, nor running.) Just a thought

I adore Ted!!!! OMG I would give him a home too!!! NEVER toss out a baby like that!!! I know all dogs go to heaven and laugh at the mean people in Hell who treated them badly!
Ted is a keeper! Let us know if you need to find him a home!

What an adorable little dog! He has such a great smile in that first picture. He is happy to meet you and Ellie. Hope he finds a good home. We got our last Chihuahua from a shelter. She is great! I don’t see how anyone could give her away. And I don’t see how anyone could “dump” Ted; he seems to be so sweet in the pictures. I hope he finds a wonderful new home.
