Monthly Archives: March 2017

Worst Holiday Ever

I hate Daylight Savings Time. I woke up at 5:30 this morning and was excited because that wasn’t too bad. Lady Bird climbed in bed (which she does every morning if she isn’t already in there) and I petted her for a while. When I got up to feed them it was 6:45! I don’t know what happened.

Also, I’m out of half and half so my coffee has 2% in it. This day is SO MEAN.

Embroidery is a thing I’d like to be able to do better so I signed up for three months worth of little printed patterns from Cozyblue.

March is pretty!

Remember I’m learning. The dark purple flower is rough but the light purple ones look OK. I think I’ll take out the dark flower when I find the seam ripper.

If I drink my coffee super fast maybe I won’t notice the missing butterfat.

The Great Outdoors

Last weekend, I attended Camping Skills Certification class. I am now allowed to take Girl Scouts camping. We’re going to start with a hike and some knot tying. Because baby steps.

Emily slept here.

My main takeaway from the weekend was some really excellent camp cooking ideas. Like omelets cooked in a ziplock and cake in a Dutch oven. I’ve never seen a meal made with so much aluminum foil in all my life – Girl Scouts do not like to do dishes.

The peach dump cake is posing in my last-minute mess kit.
