Sweet
Great Gran has given up all sweets for Lent. I find this Appalling. So I made her a treat.
I fixed a bakery box and everything!
I had a bunch of stuff I really needed to do yesterday. Instead, I spent all afternoon knitting a cupcake. The pattern is here in case you want to blow off this weekend’s To Do List in favor of non-fattening, high-fiber confections.

I find that appalling too and shudder at the thought.
The cupcake is totally perfect. What an excellent idea!
I too would have dropped my “To Do” list in favor of knitting a cupcake.

That’s adorable! I’m so glad it’s chocolate. I gave up tortilla chips–a woman has to know her limits.

That is great! Quite possible the only apt place for use of fun fur. It reminds me of those hot pink coconut covered things. Sno-Balls? Ho- Hos?

Btw, I agree with *you* — giving up sweets is appalling. (On the order of me giving up coffee. Ain’t gonna happen.)

Giving up sweets? Let’s hope she’s at least passing her portion of those onto a certain soon-to-be-Mommy. Do you crave sweets at all?
February 12th, 2008 at 12:16 pm

Hi, just found your blog via DivaKnitting and her podcast. Why is it that I always find awesome swaps right AFTER the deadline to sign up or start it? I would have loved to participate in the May Day Sock swap, and I definitely want to do the Wee Tiny Sock swap…so cute.
Congratulations on the baby, hope all goes well!
