In Third ’cause They’re Faster Than Ewe

The third team to achieve Dish Rag Tag Glory is

in the mailbox

Faster Than Ewe

Why yes, the box DOES say “me first!” As you know, position in the mailbox (first in = first delivered) determines placement in the final standings. Lesley wasn’t taking any chances that history would repeat itself when she wrote that on there!

The baby monitor was not in the box. I’m keeping tabs on nap.

Faster Than Ewe has made a spectacular finish with a barn red dish rag from Lesley, stitch markers (for ME) and purple to start next years race. But that’s not all!

Cupcake calendar! You know how we love to bake.

And the flowers and butterfly are tatted, yes? I have no idea how to tat. I know there is a needle involved and some teeny tiny thread. These are impossibly delicate and sweet and I will find something brilliant to do with them!

There’s even a treat for Ellie!

SPIDER BAG

She’s going to love it – it’ll be packed full of tiny toys about 15 minutes after she gets up! And we’ll read the post card fifty times while she’s filling the bag, Tammie. M&Ms are her favorites (she eats the reds first as they are close to pink – I love a girl who can prioritize). I get the orange if she is feeling generous.

Looking back at all the pictures, I’m a little stunned at how much was packed into that box…

Thank you so much! And HUGE congratulations to Faster Than Ewe and Team Captain Shawn for achieving Dish Rag Tag Glory!

    Congratulations, Faster Than Ewe!

WOW! that is a lot of stuff for that little box! Way to go. Love the tatting. My youngest daughter and I have learned how but we have not touched it in some time but your picture wants me pick it up again and see what I can remember…I love that teams are thinking to include something for Ellie. I know it makes her feel special.

Sorry, guess I have not sent a comment from this computer and did not pay attention that my info was not there….

    Congratulations, Faster Than Ewe!

Way to go gals. I want to travel with Lesley, she must know how to pack a suitcase!!! Love the tatting, I think it’s a gift, I tried it, liked it but it was too labor intensive for me; perhaps in my retired life 🙂 Cool idea for the box, so small they would fit anywhere.

Well done, Faster than Ewe! I had hoped my team in the end might give you a run for the 3rd, but it was not to be. I *love* the Me First, I may have to steal that next year, very clever! 🙂

Oh, I loved you name. Congratulations on your third place finish. I love the little tins you will be receiving. Emily has such a great knack for picking out the cutest prizes.

Wow, I’m amazed at how much they got into their box.

Yes, that is tatting. It is done sometimes with a needle, but more often with a tatting shuttle (and it is what makes that characteristic clicking sound). You can easily learn from a book, if you’re interested in broadening your craftiness….
