DRT Unbiased Opinion

I’ve been working on the Official Pattern of Revenge of Dish Rag Tag.

holy

It’s on the bias!

Ellie has been helping.

dish rag with many needles

She thinks it would be better with a jack-o-lantern motif.

You’ll need to know how to knit into the front and back of a stitch to make a stitch, knit 2 together, purl 2 together, yarn over and knit through the back loop (to keep a neat edge on the increase rows).

Not long now, y’all.

I can’t wait! I think if I make it in, I’ll make up my own dish rag pattern in celebration :>

    Kim,
For Ellie’s version, you’ll need to be familiar with “Porcupine” knitting (as opposed to Continental or English). The materials list includes a cookie cutter, a set and a half of double pointed needles (size doesn’t matter), and the pair of straight needles your mother was using last.
    I hope this helps!

I can’t wait! Ellie’s version looks like lots of fun. My baby is now 7 and I sorely miss the days of porcupine knitting. Actually, she used to call it yarning. Such a shame they have to grow but at the same time, she knit her first honest to goodness wearable with no holes hat last year. We were both quite proud.

You’re so lucky to have such a cute little helper, Emily. 😉

I hope I make the cut. I have a sticky note on my monitor to make sure I don’t forget!

Wow! I love how this pattern looks so far. These diagonals are my fave ones to knit and to use. Can’t wait to get this kicked off! So exciting!
