We’re sitting at Dulles waiting to board the plan, so I have to be quick. I didn’t get to blog yesterday on account of we got a Metro pass and rode the train and walked and walked and walked and walked all over D.C. so by the time we got back to the hotel at 10 we were Exquisitely Tired.
But here’s a taste of what the sock has been doing:
Claes Oldenburg made little things big.
I can’t believe I missed all your festival blogging until it was over! (Busy week and weekend.) Looks like an amazing time, but I know that just like you I would have been utterly overwhelmed and unable to buy much (I do envy your swift, though).
What fun! Looks like a fantastically fun weekend! A giant typewriter eraser . . . I remember those – how old must I be?! Tearing up the paper & all.
I love the traveling blogging. Too fun!
And that is one big eraser.
Can’t wait to see the rest of your fiber purchases!
I can’t believe I actually knew what that giant thing was–until I read the comments and saw that I was right! How long before no one remembers those erasers?
Dulles is my least-favorite airport on the planet – hope you got out of there on time and without any problems!
Wow, such a huge “odd” object! LOL! You look like you are having fun though.
Hope you had a good weekend! I didnt recognize the object at all (my typewriter used little white strips ;-), but it does look like the sock had fun.
I think I will be taking my Lornas Laces with me to Taiwan with all those socks travelling the world!
Looks like your sock is having a fabulous time! It was very nice of you to treat your sock to such a nice trip.
A typewriter eraser….is there a sign telling all the “youngsters” what it is? LOL!! How fun!! Sounds like a great trip!!
ROFL – it actually took me a moment to figure out WHAT that ‘thing’ was.. silly me.. guess I didn’t type much in my youth (ho ho ho)
Glad you’re back safe and sound and had such great fun. Maybe we should plan a Bloomin’ Feet rendevous someday???
Claes Oldenberg has a lot of neat sculptures. Have you seen the cherry one? My god, all the walking. You have to buy yarn; you deserve a reward!
