Be mine.
I started making Valentine’s for family and friends* my Freshman year of college as an effort to rescue the holiday from its lovey dovey reputation. I really enjoy it even though I tend to put it off until the last minute. These got mailed on Monday.
My friend is going to New York on Saturday and really really really wants to take his socks with him. We are leaving to go to Atlanta on Friday, so I am trying desperately to finish them. This blog post is wasting valuable knitting time!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
*Again – I made them when I was little (Mom’s idea, of course). She taught me to make a heart from a folded piece of paper. Pretty good trick.
How pretty….and creative of you!!!! I think anything hand made is so much nicer than anything store bought!!! I know all those in receipt of such thoughtful cards will greatly appreciated!!!

Happy Valentines day to you, too, Emily! The cards you made are lovely ~ perfect, in fact. Have a great trip!
Pretty! I love handmade valentines.
Sweet! Have a great Valentine’s Day Em. 🙂
A heart from a folded piece of paper? I wanna know how to do that!
Knit, woman, knit! What are you doing wasting your time making heartfelt, meaningful, non-schlocky Valentines that in their own small way take a stand against the overcommercialized nonsense that fills drugstores this time of year? You have SOCKS to knit!
(Pretty Valentine, by the way.)
Hey there I am going to be in Atlanta this weekend. I can’t believe it. Won’t be leaving until morning that is if they get the foot and a half of snow out of the roads.

Those are charming. But why are you reading blog posts? Go knit!
Nice valentine! You had better quit posting and get knitting though. 🙂
