In other news: Maude ate the heel of my Neapolitan sock.
Why, Maude? Why?
I can unravel back to the leg and take out the ruined yarn and re-knit it. But still. She needs to find a forever home. Wouldn’t you like a cute little doggy who likes to eat her Kong in a tent?
She slept all covered up for an hour.
Ouch! Because you knit them yourself–you can FIX it. Think that she might be jealous of your knitting or is she just a “chewer”? PS-there might be a cat in our house who “tears” paper and string: books, manuals..I never thought that I would have a moment of thankfulness that she isn’t interested in my FOs. Sending you peaceful, snuggly thoughts-
Well – maude just wanted to tell you to get your socks into your drawer, where they belong! Good dog trying to teach her mother to clean up 🙂
Oh, and on the CounterPain: I think we should make some competetive knitting, where a bunch of knitters sign up to send you something nasty if you do not knit the assigned number of squares – and something nice if you do! 🙂

Poor Maude, I’m sure she didn’t mean to damage the sock…I can understand the confusion…It’s hot…REALLY hot…and what is good when it is hot? ICE-CREAM…and what do you choose when you can’t decide which flavor? NEOPOLITAN!!! LOL!!!

Aw. Maude was just trying to tell you the “woll taists gud”.
Oops. My dog doesn’t eat my socks (or any other piece of knitting) but my kitted gets playful every time is sit down to knit. She loves to “help”, but it means I don’t get a lot of knitting done as I’m always untangling her teeth and claws from my yarn. AND, you should see my poor legs. Anyone would think I’ve been attacked by a chain saw.
Yarn colors remind me of ice cream fer sure. So I bet Maude thought it would taste Yummy. Loving the dish cloth. I reconize that pattern since I myself have knit that one.
One of my dogs thinks wool roving is a dog treat. The other eats knitting needles – he’ll sneak up and try to take them right out of my hands.
Maude is very adorable, especially curled up in her little tent. I still can’t believe someone would abandon such a fine dog. I can certainly vouch for strays – my dogs both came off the street, and even with the wool-eating I couldn’t ask for two finer companions!
Oh Maude. You are such a cutie though. I would forgive you in a heartbeat.
Maude. Naughty Maude. You are saintly to forgive that indiscretion.
Will go right over and do the Tag thing. Your dishcloths are lovely.
FYI: no swap package yet! Speedy delivery
I have no right to give advice on dogs who eat knitting. However, training does help somewhat. They have to be caught in the act to make it take effect. Otherwise, they have no idea why you are ranting like a lunatic!
Huge admiration for your husband’s help in setting up the swap. I just edited my profile. I am going to learn about so many new knitters from you! WOW. I am amazed at the organizational magnificence.
Still no package…pacing while waiting…
just kidding.
Oh, I like that washcloth pattern. I’m kinda getting tired of the one I’ve been using. Thanks for the link!
Poor, poor sock. 🙁
Thanks for a great pattern…
Lola says… Oh no Maude, not the sock… stay away from the socks!
Ooooh nooo, not the neopolitan! Oh Maude, how we wish you wouldn’t eat handknit socks.
Oh Dear! Earl once ate my bamboo needles right up to the knitting! Thank goodness he didn’t eat the knitting because it was a Kaffe intarsia number with 47 kabillion colors on size 4s. So sorry that I missed sign ups fpr Dish Rag Tag! If there is another, count me in.
Hmph. Looks like a guilty conscience, hiding in the comforter! Afterthought heel possible?
Oh, Maude – there must be some dachshund in her gene pool……….I would love to take her, but Bella wouldn’t stand for another female……
Aren’t people just awful?
