She’s learning from the best.
While William Henry and Ellie shared a sunbeam this afternoon, I kept an eye on the Team Widgets in my side bar. When I started typing this, all but two had advanced another ker-chunk closer to Dish Rag Glory.
As I was watching those bars inch up one by one, I got to thinking:
I know many of you have blogs, and those of you that don’t will still have a Dish Rag Tag story to tell. What if I create a weekly post for the sole purpose of sharing Dish Rag Tag related activities from the past week*?
That seems like a pretty good idea! So here’s the first Revenge of Dish Rag Tag Round up. We’ll keep in up until all the boxes make it home.
Please leave links to your blog posts in the comments. If you don’t have a blog, but you have a story, tell it to us in the comments!
I can’t wait to read where those boxes have been.
*I had a look a Mr. Linky’s Magical Widgets. That might make this round-up process even easier, but I would have to pick one of their existing memes and I just can’t make it work. I did give serious thought to using “Cats on Wednesday” and claiming it was a typo.
I forgot to add that Team 11’s name makes me smile every time I scroll by.
I usually only work 2 days a week, so of course, Tuesday was a work day. Didn’t get home til 7pm. “The box” was here. DH made dinner and I started to work. It didn’t take me long and I was done. Nice pattern. Here in MI it has cooled down and was a little rainy. Nice knitting weather. Got up yesterday and followed all the instructions of Click & Ship. Drove to the postoffice and dropped it off. What fun. The one I received is a pretty blue. Mine was a little bigger as I knit very loose. The goodies were great. Can’t wait to see how it goes.
I’m a teacher and our first day with students was Tuesday. As luck would have it, the box came that day!! As Billie Jo said, it was a nice pattern and knitted up quickly. I had it done in no time. I’m a fairly tight knitter and I used smaller needles because I like my dishcloths nice and tight. My goodies were wonderful, too. The salted carmel sucker was the best!! I savored it last night as I knitted on a sweater I’m making for myself. I had my package all taped up and dropped it off at the post office on my way to school yesterday. I love doing this!! Thanks so much to Emily!! I’m glad you like our team name- the AlterKnits!!!
Way to go, Billie Jo and Roz. You did your teams proud.
I received my box from Meg today at about 11:45 and started right in knitting. At 2:30 I was just winding it up. I have two Schnauzers who like to have a potty break around that time but, c’mon guys, I have to finish this. So, I finished around 2:45 to four eyes starring at me! They had been sitting there staring at me for 15 minutes but–I have my priorities. They had to wait until I had the box packed and ready to send. I’m glad they aren’t babies or toddlers!!!
That picture…. there are just no words to describe how cute that is. It is VERY fortunate that you have built up an immunity to cuteness. I would be a huge puddle, melted away by the strength of that cuteness blast.
