The Yarn Fairy came!

Doesn’t look like there is enough to make a sweater? Even a short-sleeved one? That’s because there’s not! The fourth color (ice water) is on back order. And they didn’t say until when. And the roof caved in on Brown Sheep’s shipping area so the yarn for the laptop case won’t be here for a while either. I am going to re-think my spring project choices. How about a nice tank or maybe a sweater vest?

I have been So Sick. Blech! When the whole thing started, I thought it was a sinus headache. And then the drainage and the persistant cough. Then it moved into my chest and there was more coughing. And then on Friday I lost my voice. It’s not back yet. That’s been a problem. I went to the Doc on Monday and he gave me a nice shot, and the Best Cough Syrup in All the World. I can breath out of both sides of my nose, my cough (when I do) isn’t wracking and deep and I’m not sleepy! Ahh, perscription medicine. I’ve also got antibiotics to take if I’m not better in three days. It’s day two and I’m not better so I think there make be some pills in my future.

All that to say: not a whole lot of knitting going on. I am almost to the armholes of the fronts and have noticed a mistake in the Irish Moss stitch about four inches back on one side. So I am ripping. But I am knitting with Great Gran today so I bet I can finish both fronts and block them tomorrow. And then Spring Knitting! I am so excited.

Brown Sheep Update (3:00pm)

Hello! Your comments don’t seem to be working. I just wanted to chime in about Brown Sheep. I just ordered some yarn from WorldKnits and was told the warehouse in NE had a roof collapse due to flooding or some such thing and that’s why they’re so backed up. Hope you get yours soon! That laptop case is adorable.

I am at the armholes! So I am taking a tiny break and looking around to see what I want to make next. I really would like to do something with some yarn from Ozeyarn. Their cotton is so soft. But I still need a pattern. It’s funny, I’d tell you there are a million things I want to make and now that I have to pick one, I don’t know what I want to do. Maybe it’s the cough syrup.
