I forgot!

I forgot to tell you! I finished these last Saturday, they are washed, loosely blocked and drying.

embossed leaf socks in loden

Yaaaaay, Bloomin’ Feet!

The two-up socks are a little longer/wider, but look pretty much the same. We are running to Atlanta this weekend so there should be some Travel Knitting to show you on Monday.

I have been devoting a large amount of time to Pondering Summer Knitting. For me, I want to make a tank or two, some short sleeved pullovers, maybe a short wrappy cardigan to go with a sundress. I want to make a sweater vest in cotton (shine?) for M and several things for the house (yellow throw pillows for the couch, a runner for the table). I’m not sure where I want to start! I love possibilities.

One last little thing: I love to order from stores who do just a little bit extra for their mail-order customers. Pretty tissue, a yarn sample, a note on your invoice, little things that make getting mail just that much more of a treat. PurlSoho.com is one of those stores.

Pretty!

All I got were a couple circular needles but it was still fun to open! I am a sucker for presentation.

The socks look awesome, my dear.

I’ve never ordered from purlsoho. Thanks for the recommendation. I love online shopping.

    Have fun in Atlanta.

Love your socks! They are pretty and I’m sure they will be loved.

I order from Purl a lot. Too much really. And mostly because they have good selection but that packaging always makes me smile. So much better than just throwing it into a brown box with a copy of the invoice.

the socks turned out great. the color is one of my favorites.

and i too am a sucker for presentation! so much so i often buy stuff just for the cute packaging! 🙂

Your socks are lovely! Very elegant pattern and color. I appreciated the Noonan article. It seems to me people have forgotten the meaning of ‘lady’ and ‘gentleman’ – it always gets me when someone on tv refers to a criminal as a ‘gentleman’.

Beautiful socks and lucky BF pal. I have never ordered from them yet either but that information is good to know. It’s nice when they put a little thought into your package. Have a fun trip!

Ooooh… green is my favorite color and the socks are gorgeous. Hope you have a great visit in Altanta! Travel there several times a year myself. When you get back, check out our new addition!

I completely agree that packaging can make the experience of receiving purchases in the mail — already a treat — even more fun. Silly as it is, it totally makesme want to order from Purl now!

Enjoy pondering your summer knitting. I like making lists of “on deck” projects…though I always bite of way, way more than I can chew.

Just thought I’d echo all the other sentiments – those socks are yummy. Your sock pal is a lucky gal ! 🙂 Can’t wait until we discover who gets which socks!
I also agree about the packaging – it makes all the difference when a company takes that little extra bit of time to make it nice.
Your summer projects sound like great fun!

ok…welll, we obviously have the same taste in socks, and you obviously end up knitting them up faster then me. I just started my second Embossed Leaves sock.

If Purl weren’t so expensive, I think I’d buy more from them. And their store is really tiny so whenever you go you have to like make sure you only bring the smallest purse so you don’t end up hitting people with it.

The BF socks are LOVELY!!! So pretty, and I agree with you about presentation – really does make a difference when you get a package that is so nicely put together.

Those socks are beautiful! I agree about packaging. When Yarntopia’s e-commerce store is up and running that is one of our priorities. We will do the same for our regular store customers -nice bags, tissue in our colors and ribbon – each purchase is a gift to yourself!
