What’s this?
It’s enough yarn to make 39 pairs of socks!
With the addition of yarn from Laura’s etsy shop:
Isn’t the tape measure cute?
My Socks I can Make Without Leaving the House total comes to 40. I think this is a respectable number of potential socks. It has to be – the Sock Yarn Addicts Club starts today. You should follow that link. Seriously. 40 pairs of socks is Small Potatoes compared to the Masters.
So much happened this past week that I really didn’t get to blog about because of all the contesting. I imagine I will get around to telling you about it eventually, but right now, we are going out to get some lunch.
That baby buggy is perfect for all those lovely skeins of sock yarn you are planning to give birth to! I see some seriously yummy yarn in there. Very very nice.
Thanks for flashing your stash!
I love your photo, Emily! And your front porch looks so inviting.
I’ve got you beat, but barely! And I don’t need no stinkin’ addicts club because I don’t have a problem.
Congratulations, you have just recieved your first nomination for the best Flash your Sock Yarn stash pic! Too cute for words:0)
Yaaay, sock yarn! I don’t qualify for the club, I’m afraid – my sock yarn stash is seed potatoes compared to yours (that’s small pieces of spuds). Is the carriage a hint of some kind, Mrs. Emily? ;o)
That was nice of you to take your sock yarn out for a stroll. 🙂
Very respectable! Very cute presentation, too!
too cute for words! – looks like my fav is pink lemonade. Man – 40 pairs isn’t much.. you’ll have to ration your sock knitting to make it last 90 days eh?? Send up the SOS flag if you get desperate – I hear that ‘receiving sock yarn as a gift’ doesn’t count
hehe This is just an adorable way to flash your sock yarn stash Emily! I had to call my husband over to the computer to show him your house and baby buggy (as my grandmother calls it). heh I’m glad you like the yarn and tape measure! 🙂
Love the picture. Enjoy the knitting.
hehehe what a great idea to photograph your stash in a pram. Your house is gorgeous too!
Happy knitting.

I’m trying to think of how to connect up the symbolism of the baby carriage and the sock yarn in a way that makes a profound comment about the world, but I can’t do it. I guess if you ever needed to evacuate quickly and all the roads were jammed you could run down the sidewalk pushing the carriage, thus saving all your yarn from the flood/tornado/apocalypse. It is important to be honest with oneself about one’s priorities.
Your porch looks as though it is waiting for someone to push the buggy over, pull up a rocker and start knitting! What a cute way to show off your stash!!! I would be proud too!!
