Wee Tiny Sock Swap 2009
**Official Press Release: Wee Tiny Sock Swap 2009**
After consultation with our Technical Specialist, Yarn Miracle is pleased to announce the Official Dates for Wee Tiny Sock Swap 2009!
Sign-ups open: Sunday, April 19, 2009 (let’s say around noonish central)
Sign-ups close: Wednesday, April 22, 2009 (sometime in the evening)
Please note: There are no participation limits on sign-ups! As long as you fill out the web form while it is available, you’re in!
Matches will be emailed sometime on Friday, April 24, 2009 so you’ve got the whole weekend to knit Wee Tiny Socks. Wee Tiny Socks will all be mailed on Monday, April 27, 2009.
Stay tuned to Yarn Miracle for a more detailed post, but the answers to the FAQS are these:
- Sign-ups will be handled by WEB FORM. The link to this form will be announced before sign-ups open (and several times after that).
- Non-US swappers are welcome and encouraged to participate.
- This is not a secret swap – everyone should contact their down stream pal (the person you are knitting for) to make a new friend.
- Greeting Cards are ideal Wee Tiny Sock mailing vehicles.
- There were 276 participants in the Wee Tiny Sock Swap of 2008. Will we top that in 2009?
Here we go!

Our members might be interested in joining but I don’t understand what Wee Tiny Socks actually is? Who do you knit for? Can someone send me more info about this? Thanks.

This should be a blowout group since the SS09 group at Ravelry has just gotten the idea to use these as IDs for the event in Portland. I am so excited!
