DRT: Weekly Round-Up #5

The memento for the first team to attain Dish Rag Tag Glory took more thought and a lot of poking around on Etsy. But I knew what I wanted the minute I saw it.

star!

A star for a job well done!

Sweet and delicate, these tiny stoneware dishes make my heart go pitter pat. A Dandelion Blows is well stocked with functional and decorative stoneware. Buttons and bowls and tiny pumpkins and this bracelet that I totally covet which is odd because I don’t wear jewelry. So now I have a I have a box full of stars from a kind and personable seller. They all say this on the bottom:

DRT 2010 and signature

How awesome is that? I just have to figure out how to mail the tiny fragile things. Do you think chocolate will make adequate packing material?

How awesome was your Dish Rag Week? That’s what the comments are for!

Emily – those small dishes are just lovely. How thoughtful you are. I had a great time again this year.

Wonderful prizes, and yes, chocolate does make a good buffer…I’m sure of…especially dark chocolate! As to MY dishrag week? Awesome. Box received, cloth knit, box sent out. What more could one ask?

As for our dishrag week…on pins and needles when for the SECOND TIME this game our box was “missent” according to the USPS and we thought the player to receive it was missing in action but turns out her email was down but she was ready when the box showed up in her mail, got the dishrag knitted and back in the mail the next day!!! Praying for an uneventful time for the rest of the game!

What glorious prizes. You always manage to get things so special. I have had more fun this year than ever before this is such a friendly team I am on. We are working on a way to stay in touch once the contest is over. That is how well we like each other. Many thanks. I hope we make it to the final leg in first place. I covet those little bowls. Yes chocolate is an excellent packing material I am not sure quite how that would work but love the idea. I have a special little bowl in one area where I knit and I use it for those little snips of yarn when finishing items. Have wanted a second one for the other chair I use. Perhaps?

Emily, you covet the bracelet, I covet the first place prize! I love stars, not just any star though, it has to speak to me and your great pick for a DRT momento speaks to me. Great choice, I’m sure the lucky 1st place team will love them.
Five Alarm Fire’s DRT week was rough but our team has a super positive and supportive attitude so we marched on, “smokin” at every opportunity!

I think Rachel may actually be your daughter. She also wears no jewelry, is extremely creative, has freckles and blue eyes…none of which are traits that I possess. Hmmmm…. 🙂
