Going Places

Elephant prototype finished!

Eugenia

Her name is Eugenia.

They are on the way to Kangarooz, so that’s the best you get for now. I’m really happy with the legs, on the fence about tusks (does she need them?) and ready to knit her through again to take pictures for the pattern!

I’m hopeful that the pattern will make it to the test knitters the first week of March.

It really depends on if she’s an asian or african elephant. Female asian elephants don’t have tusks.
But personally, I feel like she doesn’t need them. She seems cuddlier without.

Again, I have to say that I adore this elephant! It’s probably my favorite of your critters so far. (:

I bet those ears and that trunk were super fun to knit, too!

I LOVE it!!!! You are so talented!!! I think that she is perfect just the way that she is!! I agree with Jennifer that she doesn’t need the tusks and she would be cuddlier without them. I am so very excited….. I can’t wait until you publish the pattern so that i can add her to my little girls collection. 🙂

This is adorable as is, but how about figuring out “optional” tusks. I have a feeling that children will have their own ideas about the need for tusks, and it would be good to have the pattern in place for those who NEED them.

I DON”T know how you do it…always come up with THE cutest critters!!! Just gave a Rabbit as a baby shower gift…she said it was her favorite gift 🙂 Looking forward to knitting Elephant…am on the fence about tusks…not sure she needs them!!!

LOVE the legs! Eugenia! When we lived in Memphis, and was preggers, we joked about naming a baby girl Magnolia Eugenia (said in the voice of Mammy from Gone With the Wind)!

I see E. holding a little action figure! My Zoe loved them when she was little, but you couldn’t find any for little girls, they didn’t make them! Can you imagine that now?
