Contemplative knitting.
By now, I am sure most of you have realized that there won’t be a Dish Rag Tag this year. There are two big reasons for this. Reason 1: The ap really needs to be rewritten. Apparently software (like everything else) gets old. Michael asked what would happen if the ap just stopped working in the middle of the race and I had to go lie down. Reason 2: There is way too much going on.
I’m working on a little something (see illustration above) to tide you over during the break. In related news: there will be a new Mindful Fiber next week.
I am very sorry for this, I know that many of you will be disappointed. I’m disappointed. But think about what would happen if the ap stopped working in the middle of the race.
If you have to go lie down, I understand.
They say absence makes the heart grow fonder, so there.
We’ll survive..somehow. ROFL
The knitting looks positively intriguing.
Awe….sad!! But I get it! I will miss the tag though!
I’m going to go lie down now….
It’s okay, Emily. Change is always good.
Sigh.
We understand. Life happens.
Maybe you can just write us a new pattern (considering I’m still making the past 2 since I love them)! 🙂
I about died reading this post! I gasped and pulled a chunk of the cheese I was eating into my lungs!! Oh Emily, ….say it ain’t so….say it ain’t so!!!
OK, , whew, all better now. You’ve spoiled us, we take so much for granted. Thanks for all the past fun and good times!!
Looking forward to “The DRT Rises” !!! Mwahhahhahaha!!!
Oof. Imagined what would happen if the app stopped working in the middle of the race. Failed, because I had to both lie down, and breathe into a brown paper bag until the red haze went away.
This gives me 12 months to work out how to be on a different continent for my turn. 🙂
Intrigued to see the latest pattern, the DishRagTag washcloths are in regular rotation round my way.
Emily, you deserve a year off. In the meantime, I’ll be in training for DRT 2013. Thanks for all you do.
WHENEVER you resurrect DRT we’ll be there!
These events take time to be successful; you are understandably busy!
My sister says DRT always made me too anxious… I will relax this year and make her a “revenge” dishcloth on my own schedule – gotta love those yarn overs… Thanks for hosting all the fun Emily.
I’m bummed! But way too much going on is a GREAT reason to not run DRT. I hope whatever is going on is happy and not too stressful!
I’m not going to lie, I’m going to miss the heck out of DRT. But life — family, real stuff takes priority.
Take care of you & thank you for all you’ve done for us in the past. Xox
I was just working on my study schedule this semester and had left a hole for DRT. Major sadness, since I was looking forward to the diversion, but I’ll get over it. Thanks for the fun. BTW, I like Coralee’s suggestion…DRT Rises! (No pressure though)
I will sorely miss The Tag this year, but you’re not the only one with way too much going on … probably best that I don’t try to squeeze another captaincy in. I will knit Hiatus immediately and with great pleasure, and will share it will all more former teammates from DRTs I-V!
