Cat Update (9:30 PM):
She’s out! We came back to town after supper and when we turned the light on, Betty started peeping (she doesn’t seem to meow). So I distracted her by dangling Fluffy Sweater yarn (the bit left over from the back – I hope the neck band isn’t going to need it since it’s pretty filthy now) in from the top, M opened the little door on the outside, reached in, grabbed her and dragged her out. Then there was a lot of purring. She is back in the bathroom for the night, the hole is covered and she can come back out tomorrow. Maybe she can meet Angus. Now, after such a day (I didn’t even tell you that the contractor discovered that we aren’t on the city’s sewer after all – we have a septic tank. Surprise!), I am very tired and am going to bed. Or maybe I will knit a bit on the Fluffy Sweater. As a reward. Who needs sleep when you have delightful yarn?
