I got Sunshine

The Yarn Aboard Radio Box came to ME!!

handful of yarn

I hold all my yarn above my head in triumph.

This tickles me: I saw the yarn leaving Alison’s and tried to order some! Sunshine Yarns was out of “harvest” but more was promised on Valentine’s Day. The Radio Box made it here before I had a chance to order. This yarn is really pretty stuff! Not only are the colors spectacular (handpaint) but it’s awfully soft. I can’t wait to try it! But I think I’ll wait until April (can I stand it?) and use it during Project Spectrum. I think I am going to make a pair of socks each month. At the end, I will have a rainbow of socky goodness. The rest of the box held:

moo lotion, sock length guide and my precious precious yarn again

The post card with skiiers and balloons (HAH) is inside the bag.

Somehow I managed to not take a picture of the actual radio box. I’ll be sure to get one when it is packed and ready to go along it’s merry way. I hope that will be soon – I ordered yarn the day I found out the identity of my Box Pal. It isn’t here yet and no amount of grilling Ms. MailLady seems to help. Apparently the USPS is not omnicient. Thanks again, Alison, and may I just add: “You Rock.”

Now I have to go and unravel two rows of hat shaping. I can’t watch curling and count at the same time. Stupid counting.

Gorgeous! I’ve been stalking your blog to see if you’d received your goodies yet. Pretty pretty yarn –can’t wait to see what sorta’ socks you knit with it :O)

Hooray! I’m so glad you like the yarn and goodies. And now that you know that I was your yarn box pal, I can start commenting on your blog and tell you that the embossed leaf sock is gorgeous! And the perfect cardigan is just that. Beautiful stuff over here!

I just received my first skein of Sunshine Yarns as a gift, and I am absolutely itching to get started with it. I have also been oggling all the other colors available — they are gorgeous, inspired combinations. Enjoy yours!

Oh very pretty sock yarn! I followed that link to check out her yarns too. She has some beautiful colors. I look forward to seeing what you do with yours. Enjoy!

Oh so pretty! This is going to be exciting, to see the box take off and land again. Like it’s wandering from blog to blog. I’m sure you are going to have a lot of fun with the Sunshine yarn (probably more than I have with the radio ;-)) Nice idea to have a sock theme for Project Spectrum. The April socks are going to be a treat then!

Oh, it is ever so pretty. Got your v-daytine. Thanks! It is on the fridge with some of the magnets I made in my Sickly Time. I am just a little proud of the magnets. Isn’t the US Women’s Curling Team a bunch of hotties?? So Cute! Oh, yes, back to yarn. Very VERY pretty stuff. Can’t wait to see it in a finshed from!

    Heart You.

So much to say! What a fun project to be in, The Yarn Aboard Radio box. Mail is good, isn’t it? I love the picture of the sunshine yarn against the blue, blue sky.

I have a sock question that I have been meaning to ask you for a while. Which sock pattern/type do you suggest for moi, who has never ever ever knit a sock? I have the needles, and the yarn. I even have several books and all that said, I wanted to seek some wise sock counsel. With all your sock knowledge, if you could “re-choose” which sock was your first, which would it be?

And thank you for posting about how you made the yarn labels. I am officially done badgering you about them. See? I have moved on to new stuff to badger you with!

    Hope your weekend is great.
