Appalled
Have you heard about this Blue Moon Bank Thing? I am appalled. There is already a knit-a-long to protest.
Michael saw it on MetaFilter.
Added later: For the record, I am not going to knit socks for the bank. Instead, I have ordered some Socks That Rock yarn (Rolling Stone and Beryl) and crossed my fingers that the scandal will move my name from the waiting list to the reservation list. I feel very positive about this form of protest.

I think the folks at BMFA are trying to move past this and they’re behaving with a lot of class.

Thanks for the props on the MeFi post.
How funny to me to see you link my post here since I read you regularly. I used to read Mike’s blog as well; I’m a UU blogger from way back. Ask him about Whim & Vinegar.

Gosh. That’s just weird!

That’s totally insane. Wonder why they just didn’t contact a few of the customers and ASK for crying out loud. ugh. I’m glad this is all getting straightened out though.

I read about this yesterday. I’m amused. If I had paid for all the Socks that Rock dealy, I’d probably knit a sock specially for a board member.
More importantly, I’d want to be there to take the photo of their previous bank’s board members’ faces when they received all those socks.
Also, yes, I agree that BMFA is acting with a lot of class. I agree with the way that they’re reacting to the issue. I would still want to send their bank socks though.

There hasn’t been this much scandal in the knitting blogosphere since the Stitch n’ Bitch copyright nonsense! Thank bank will rue the day it messed with knitters.
