Severe Weather

I blocked the blue vest today. I was going to make a “How Emily Blocks a Sweater” photo essay, but we are having what the people on the TV call “Severe Weather” and the light isn’t good.

Blue Moon has sent me the wrong colorway for my Bloomin’ Feet socks. They are (of course) fantastic about it and I get to keep the wrong yarn which is perfect for my cousin’s Graduation Socks. The trouble is, I don’t want to start another project until I figure out about Bloomin’ Feet. I am going to make CounterPain squares until it gets here.

Nothing but CounterPain squares.

CounterPain.

Squares.

Or maybe I will start on a cotton sweater vest for Michael.

I was noticing a lot of space filled in the other day on the Counterpain Squares map! Have fun with it. If that’s possible. Keep your eye on the light at the end of the counterpain tunnel: STR on the way in the mail! 🙂

You’re too funny with the counterpain 🙂 Show us your stack of squares next time you post, I’m not tired of looking at them. I’m considering (mind you, only thinking) of crocheting a blanket with creamy squares, but the size of the project is a bit daunting so that’s the reason it’s still at the thinking (more like dreaming of it) stage. I wish I had your tolerance and stamina for counterpain.

How funny that they contain the word “pain”. So, what colorway did you order and which one did you get? Can’t wait to see pics….

Ugh, I hope the weather didn’t get too severe! I saw Dothan mentioned on the weather channel and started worrying for my husband’s great-aunt, but then I realized it was just the Dothan news channel reporting on Enterprise. But I haven’t seen your town mentioned, so I’m thinking everything is OK there.

Hope your sock yarn gets there pronto!

I promise to come visit you in the psychiatric ward when you are nothing but a glazed-over shell of your former self and do nothing but mutter about counterpain squares, yourhands grotesquely blistered yet unable to stop miming knitting motion.

Eww, I painted quite the unattractive picture there, didn’t I? Just close your eyes and think of Socks That Rock and you’ll be fine.

Show up the stack of square Em! We can all pretend they are OUR squares! hehe

Glad the weather was less severe today than yesterday.

I hope the squares will Counter your Pain about the yarn (har, har, har). Also hoping that you don’t have any damage from the Severe Weather. Our severe weather had me blowing Very Wet snow from the drive today . . . and shoveling very small shovels-full off the walk. Snow can be surprisingly heavy!

Well, at least if you are working on the squares, that is one less that you have to do later. 😉

Just think how much faster the counterpain will get done with you finishing so many squares. And think how happy you will be when the sock yarn gets there. 😉
