The End of the Blue Vest

Sign-ups are ongoing for the Wee Tiny Sock Swap! At last count there were already 37 folks signed up to make and mail a single Wee Tiny Sock. Some Wee Tiny Socks (like Sarah’s) have already been completed! I cannot begin to tell you how much this amuses me. It’s almost as amusing as my latest Wee Tiny Sock discovery:

Abigail and the wee tiny sock

If you fill them with catnip they become cat toys!

We finally got around to photographing the finished blue vest.

That is Great Gran’s Firecracker bush in the background.

Great Gran was also supposed to be in the background but she didn’t trust us to not get her in the picture and hid.

It’s bigger than I had imagined (my own fault – it is exactly the size I picked to make) but I like it a lot. It’s cute, casual, looks good with my brown skirt and I am happy with it. I don’t usually do the headless picture thing, but this this is the best picture of the front of the sweater and my head isn’t in it!

There’s no Bloomin’ Feet yarn in the mailbox today. I guess I’ll go make another CounterPain Square.

What a great vest! I love the color. I have been toying with the idea of making a vest… I may just have to do that!

The vest is beautiful! The fit is nice and comfortable yet stylish too. If you wear it over a little white shirt with a bit of a frill or lace peeking out, it’s going to look sweet too. My goodness, I just saw a lady at the train station this morning and she was wearing a floral dress with shades of blue and brown and it struck me as being so pretty that I made a mental note to look out for these colours next time I go shopping. So yes, your blue vest will be fabulous with brown!

The vest is so GREAT! Now you need to make one at least two or three sizes smaller to show off your cute figure! 🙂

I love that blue vest! It looks so well executed, and fits really good 🙂

I am sorry that I will not sign up for your mini-sock-swap, but really – I have over 30 minisocks and would not know what to make out of another mini sock 🙂

Superb vest, it is simple but with much much style… lovely color… Bye the way, I love the way you always pose on front of the camera… natural and proffessionnel!!!
P.S. Not the one with no head… 😉

The vest is so pretty. I love the “Tiffany” blue color. And I’m sure it will go great with brown. Those colors always looks awesome together.

Will your cats let you put wee tiny socks on wee tiny paws?

I love it! I can never find vest patterns. Do you make them up yourself or is there someplace you buy them? I need to get rid of some stash yarn and vests would work.

It’s a lovely color for you, Emily. Kudos! 🙂 (and ok, so maybe I’m a little jealous that you are outside with short sleeves on …ha)

That color blue is just a pleasure to look at. I totally agree with your assessment of the vest: cute and casual, and I bet it looks good with a lot. Very wearable.
