Prize – Fastest Turn-Around 2009
Be amazed: I took a picture!
Ice Cream!
The prize for Fastest Turn-Around is this beautiful yarn form Hazel Knits in “Ice Cream Sundae” (courtesy of Lisa) and a Visa gift card for some real ice cream to go with it!
The winner of the Fastest Turn-Around Individual Merit Award is determined by speed and chance. Everyone who receives the box and manages to send it out again on the same day will be entered into a drawing. We will double check tracking information for accuracy – so entering those USPS tracking numbers is extremely important.
Also, here is some reading for today: My part of New York City is not burning. As always, I am feeling reflective.

ooh, hopefully I have a shot at this. I actually timed myself via clock, but I also checked in / out pretty close to when I started/stopped.

Oh, lovely! WANT WANT WANT! I’m gonna knit like a madwoman and try to get back to the post office today! (As long as that box actually shows up today!)

YES! I did it! The mailman came slightly later than usual, but I found a post office that stays open a little later! Here and gone in the same day!!

thank you for sharing the reflective 9/11 column/post. I went into a mental hiding immediately after. I didn’t watch any tv or radio for weeks. I just huddled closely with my children when they came home from school. Now I feel the need to read what people were feeling then.

Emily, I just wanted to thank you too for the 9/11 links. I live in NYC, and was there that day. My husband has a job that took him down to Ground Zero in the immediate aftermath. It was a very hard time for my family. My husband posted on my blog about his experience.
From the serious to the not-so, I just finished and sent out the dishrag–I really liked this pattern! So easy to memorize, so tidy. I will be making lots of ‘em!
