DRT: Weekly Round-Up #4

The prize for the second team to attain Dish Rag Tag Glory is actually the first prize I picked. Trophies.

Knitty Girls

Kat’s in the Belfry makes these great Shakespeare People. They are peg dolls with bee-stung lips dressed in passages by the Bard. So I thought, I wonder if Kat would dress them in knitting patterns? Ellie wants them all. And, I have to confess, so do I.

How’s the race going? Last week was surprisingly quiet (at least in my comments). This week I see several status bars inching into the front! Please share you experiences or links to your blog posts in the comments.

omigosh those are sooo adorable! Our team had an adventure (?) this week when the box I sent was mis-routed by the post office, and delivered two days after it should have been! Darn post office! However, our wonderful team hung in there, albeit on tenterhooks, but nonetheless…

this has been the most exciting race yet!

I saved a whole lot of time being able to knit the dishrag and mail it the same day. I received the box late Saturday morning and mailed it out Saturday afternoon. Drove to downtown Detroit to get it out and the box was delivered on Monday. That was sure worth the 30 miles I drove to get it moving so fast. This race has been so much fun!!!

Quiet ?you can’t believe the chatting going on for my team. We are “stalking” as one member put it that box. It is just as much fun to watch the traveling box as it was to knit the dishcloth. By the way I have already knit a couple more…….

These are adorable!!!! I do so love the knitting ones, but I may just have to get a Shakespeare or Equinox one because they are so darn cute.

On our team, Karen in NY got the box in the morning and mailed it out that afternoon. Everyone seems to be getting it out really fast. It’s just the mail that’s slow.

This has been the best team!!I got the box last Thursday and got it out that same afternoon, so Leah got it on Saturday. Our team had a problem with post office, but we all all still cheering on the rest of team. This has been my best year. The knitty girls are really cute!!!

This DRT has been AWESOME, not that I didn’t have a good time last year but this year I have had the time to be more actively involved, even my husband was invovled, hoping to help our team overcome the post office blunder! Our team has been cheering for and supporting each other from day 1. Love the tin boxes….but don’t want to finish 3rd just so I can have one 🙂

I got my box tonight after the PO closed. My mail delivery usually comes late in the day. Then, I had to work two hours late at work on a communicable disease crisis (my job). So, I got home wiped out. However, I couldn’t let my team down. I knit through my exhaustion, got it packed back up and head out to pop it in the slot at a local 24/7 PO at 11:30 pm, so it can move in the morning. Fun! Thanks for the pattern. Go Divas!
