Just as a personal aside:
I might have too much on my plate.
Do you think Dish Rag Taggers would freak out over a ’round’ Official Dish Rag? With short rows maybe? Yeah, you’re probably right. Last year’s cloth doesn’t have a lot of hearts on Ravelry but it gets downloaded a minimum of once a day. I’m not sure I can beat that. I’m not sure I should try. But dish rags are on my mind.
I’ll announce dates this week.
I’m game for anything you come up with! I loved last years cloth and I know I’ll love this one too. Even if it’s round with short rows. 😉
Last year’s dish rag was my favorite so far. I think a round rag would be fun!
Doesn’t matter to me! Round could pose a greater challenge to the dishraggers.
Round could be really fun. I know I’ll like whatever you come up with.
: )
That is all.
In-the-round kind of round? Or a flat kind of round? You’d totally have me hooked if I got to use my circulars. (:
not playing but ROUND sounds wonderful and really kitchy cute
I love a round cloth! I made a basic pinwheel with icord bindoff that lives under my coffee pot to catch drips.
I don’t know about in the round but i’m up for the short rows.. i can’t wait to get started!!!
I think it would be great! Hoping I get to this year, My hubby and I are going out of town 2nd week in august.Maybe I could get some good stuff for my box. Thanks
Of the 3 years I’ve been involved with DRT, I loved last years cloth the most. Sadly I don’t list dishrags on my Rav page or you would know how much I love it. I just love their quick knitting and have gifted about 7 so far. In the round is good. I’m a DPN girl. Not much for magic loop though. If we went in the round, I hope I would have the DPN option. Looking forward to playing again this year!
Emily, I’d love to do short rows for the dishrag this year!! that would be awesome! 🙂 I can’t wait for DRT 2011!!!
Might be a good change of pace! Sounds great!!! Love all the cloths and LOVE the dish rag tag!!
All this enthusiasm for short rows and round cloths!
I’m working on a typical square this morning as a back up. One of the other reasons that I am hesitating about a round one is the SEAMING! Horrors!
Round sounds like a great challenge! A girlfriend has a round dishcloth with a ‘scrubbie’ in the middle that she wants me to duplicate. Any chance you would design a “mixed media” dishcloth? Perhaps not, that would really stress us out with netting, short rows and time constraints!
Last year’s pattern is what I knit for my kitchen. I have knit other patterns, yet still come back to this one.
Round would be fun, and it would make it more challenging
Round sounds wonderful to me, seem or not! I’ve found lots of additional uses for the round cloths.
I’m good with round, too. 🙂
I don’t care what the design is or if I have to stand on my head to knit it. I love love love dish rag tag. I can’t wait.
Round, round, get around, I get a round!
Do it, Emily! It will just be that much more fun!
I’m jumping on the round band wagon too, go for it Emily. As you can see we’re up for the challenge!
PS — Miss Ellie is the cutest little girl….her pictures make me smile everytime you post one……thanks for sharing your lives!
