The best thing about being away from home is not cleaning the house for a week. The worst thing about being away from home is the house hasn’t been cleaned in a week. The cats just don’t take enough initiative with things like that.
Sigh.
S is for Sheep is just about ready to release. I’m waiting for notes from one more person. But it looks like the Summer Toy Slump is over early: I’ve come home to several special orders. Which is great, but it also means that the other patterns I had planned will have to wait until school starts in a few weeks. This is OK, I’ll need something to do while I’m waiting for Ellie to get home from kindergarten.
Argh. Kindergarten.
Sigh.
Hey, maybe I’ll finish the CounterPain? If you’re going to dream, dream Big.
I’m so sorry I didn’t finish the sheep, Emily. I’ve knit the body twice – one is huge, the other too small. I have no idea how I’ve managed this (especially since I’ve knit so many of these bodies for your other patterns). It’s a relief to me that you have much more reliable test knitters, though I do feel terribly guilty for not completing it.
Im so glad you’ve made it back. I went back and read all your blog starting from 2003. I was wondering what happened to the Counterpane. I was just going to start a new project but I will def wait for Sheep
Ahhh a new part of life begins….THe big K=garten. IT is good that they have a little life of their own. YOu’ll like it. It will take a little getting used to. THen its over in a flash and you are rushing home to beat them to the door!
Hi Emily…the pattern knit up nice for me just need to finish a leg and then attach. Then I will send pictures!
My sheep is finished, but a computer crash (and complete rebuild) and no internet access has meant I haven’t been able to contact you. Internet guys are coming on Monday to sort it out and I should get my computer back then too.
