Don’t Ask

I finished this one a few weeks ago.

Eleanor in an oatmeal colored cardigan.
An everyday cardigan is what I was after.
The back of the oatmeal cardigan - there's a 'seam' of ribbing up the back. Eleanor is still wearing the cardigan.
It was really for me, but this way you can see the back.

It’s Don’t Ask by Isabell Kraemer in Knitpicks Twill (Horchata Heather). I enjoyed this project a bunch and learned something new: German shortrows. The yarn is great. It’s super soft, a really tight spin, and even after several weeks of wear has no pills worth mentioning.

Unfortunately there was an unexpected issue: Washington is a shoulder sitter. Ordinarily this is a minimal problem with my sweaters…but with this sweater, he would pull long loops of yarn (long enough to tie overhand knots) right out of place. It was on the way to unwearable, so now it looks like this.

Ramen.

I’ll wash it and dry it and try something new. Something with texture on the shoulders this time.

I Finished Another Thing

I finished the knitting. It took a while to get the buttons. It took another month or so to add the buttons. Then I didn’t take a picture for a bit even though I’ve been wearing it a bunch.

The pattern: Mareichen by Isabell Kraemer

The yarn: Anchor Bay from Cascade (in titanium…I think)
