The weather today is almost identical, a beautiful blue clear autumn sky. My sister-in-law Cathy’s birthday is today, so I always make sure to focus on her birthday today.

What an awful time it was. I’m a music teacher and a sixth grade class and I were discussing the events of that day and I was trying to convey the fear and horror that we were all feeling. My principal doesn’t believe we should be talking with our students about it because they were too young to remember it for themselves but if we don’t teach them, how will they learn from it? A first hand account of what emotions were running rampant in our country is better than any textbook lesson- in my mind anyway…..
