Dish Cloths

How do y’all feel about log cabin style knitting?

Kindergarten starts tomorrow. I should have more time to talk then.

PS I missed my 10th blogaversary at the beginning of August. I always miss my blogaversaries, so this is nothing new. The part about TEN YEARS worth of my thoughts out in the ether is really making me feel old though.

I’ve been looking at the purl bee’s log cabin washcloths, and trying not to start one, so yes, I like log cabins 🙂 unfortunately, i’m out of the states this year, so i guess i can’t play. /sad

Oooh, I didn’t realize log cabin has been Done (recently): http://www.purlbee.com/the-purl-bee/2013/8/11/whits-knits-new-log-cabin-washcloths.html
Like the red. Like those smocked dresses too if you look a few posts forward.

Maybe we’ll do it anyway because log cabin is FUN. And we can use bits and pieces. Opinions, anyone?

It’s not like I won’t have all kinds of time for pattern design before Labor Day and have to go with the first thing that pops into my head or anything.

I”ve tried twice and given up in earnest. I can’t seem to pick up all those border stitches nicely and evenly. It also makes my wrist hurt a bit…
HOwever I LOVE the look of a log cabin more than any other blanket style!

Log cabins strike me as fiddly for a race, what with multiple yarns and such. Maybe a mitered square, going either way (large to small or small to large)?

I’m not big on knitted log cabins. I am not terribly fond of picking up stitches.
    Happy blogaversary!

I agree tht Log Cabin seems a bit fiddly for a race. However, I am sure it is something I would like to try sometime.
