Next Step

OK. So the next step is to be this motivated in the down ballot races so we never get another Roy Moore. R or D, we need to fill our seats with candidates that favor of basic human decency.

PS Thank you to everyone who made me a part of the 2% write-in vote. Maybe I’ll run for city council in a year or two when Ellie is out of elementary school.

Spooky Laugh

Don’t tell anyone but these were taken on November 1 – it was too dark last night.

Pardon our dust.

Ellie is Professor Minerva McGonagall and Beatrice is some kind of demon. The caution tape and extension cords are not just decoration, they’ve been working on the house for a couple weeks now!

Progress is messy. And noisy.

Stitching

Not my personal best, but I enjoyed the pattern.

It took me almost two months to finish a bunny and two sweaters for a customer. Really unforgivable that it took so long. I’ve got plenty of reasons why this happened: too much Girl Scouts to work on, too much other stuff getting in the way, school, lots of different people coming in and out to work on the house, we’re still working to find our groove since moving, the project didn’t actually have a “I need it by” date.

But really?
I think knitting just makes me sad.
I think knitting has been making me sad for about four years now.

I’m not sure what to do with that epiphany.

Too Busy

I very much don’t like having too much to do. I also think my threshold for that is lower than a lot of people’s. I’m trying to figure out what activity from which to extricate myself – sadly, it can’t be litter boxes.

I blew it.

Aw man. After 8 months of once a week posts I forgot last week.

I don’t know what happened. It’s not that I never thought about it, I just forgot.

Boo, me.

Here’s a rabbit head.

For a returning customer.

Part of Your World

We are a long way from the stage.

We took a road trip up to Nashville to see The Little Mermaid! We somehow managed to get the last three tickets available for this sold out show (we only just discovered the Nashville Performing Arts Center’s calendar a week ago). Our seats were in the middle of the very very last row of the balcony. The air was thin that high up but we still enjoyed the show.
